As a school, the health and wellbeing of our pupils is at the centre of everything we do. This is why we ensure we have robust safeguarding procedures, strong links with external agencies in Health and Social Care as well as a broad and balanced curriculum which encourages our children to explore their talents, challenge themselves in a safe environment and learn the skills they need to be successful citizens in our communities.
To help our pupils and their families learn how to keep themselves healthy; both emotionally and physically, and to teach them the skills they need to keep themselves and others safe, are having a ‘Healthy Body, Healthy Mind’ fortnight from 9th July to 20th July.
During these two weeks, the children will take part in a number of special workshops, assemblies and themed afternoons; including ‘Keeping Safe’ sessions run by the NSPCC, relaxation and self - esteem sessions run by Solent Mind and music and arts experiences with specialist teachers. Sports days will also be taking place in these weeks, alongside Science sessions on healthy living. A number of workshops will also be available for parents / carers focussing on :
