Welcome to Bevois Town!

We are a ‘Good’ and improving Primary School where each learner is recognised as individual and unique and valued for the special contribution they bring to our culturally rich and diverse learning community.

About three-quarters of our children speak English as their second or even third language and come from a wide range of social and cultural backgrounds. Some families have been settled in the UK for a long time but increasingly, many more are newly arrived. A significant number of pupils join us after the start of Year R and all are welcomed.

Our children enjoy learning from one another; respecting and celebrating differences in language, religion and culture as well as learning to recognise all we have in common.

Our core values: Honesty, Equality, Achievement, Respect & Responsibility, Teamwork underpin and are at the HEART of everything we do.

Together, with our children’s families and through partnerships with other schools and agencies, we have created a learning climate of improvement. This is underpinned by high expectations of every learner (adult and child), mutual respect and collective responsibility.

Whatever their starting point, we aim to ensure every learner, (adult and child) thrives personally and socially and achieves excellent progress in their time with us.

We are a team of dedicated and talented staff who strive to know and nurture the learners in our care; creating exciting and creative opportunities for learning which challenge and support learners of every age and ability.
