Reading Ambassadors

Reading Ambassadors

 

 

Reading Ambassadors have been selected from pupils in Years 4 to 6 and aim to be a role model to others through sharing their love of reading.

 

They provide additional weekly reading support to children in Years 1 to 3.

 

The Buddies have been trained in the best way to support the younger readers in school and do a fantastic job.

 

They spend time reading the younger pupils books, supporting them on how to read certain words that they struggle with and asking questions about what they have read to aid their comprehension. They also help to keep our library areas inviting, share stories with younger years and provide valuable recommendations for books. 

 

Their enthusiasm for reading is exceptional and when asked why they wanted to become Reading Ambassadors many of them quoted a love of books and a desire to inspire a love of reading with younger children.
